      Debian 8, zabbix 2.4.5.

Created an ssh test after successfully compiling zabbix-server w/ the '-with-ssh2 configure option (would not compile w/ libssh2-1 but I found it would compile w/ no errors after installing libssh2-1-dev).

      Full configure options were:

      ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql --enable-ipv6 --with-net-snmp --with-libcurl --with-libxml2 --with-ssh2

no errors when compiling (make) or installing (make install).

      I have defined : SSHKeyLocation=/home/zabbix/.ssh

pub/priv keys are in that directory and have the correct permissions.

The item which uses this ssh test reports status 'not supported' and the error is 'support for ssh2 was not compiled in'

I spent a lot of time figuring out how to compile in support for ssh2 due to the missing libraries which I eventually found in libssh2-1-dev so I know it was compiled w/ ssh2 support.
