We should clarify what we mean by "network interface name" in the documentation for net.if.[in|out|total] and possibly other net.if.* items on Windows.
1. On Windows these items accept IPv4 addresses as well.
2. Instead of name (there is no such term as 'interface name' on Windows) one must use full description (as seen in ipconfig which can be quite confusing starting from Windows Vista. The underlying structures have AdapterName and FriendlyName fields that are used by various tools.
