Item became unsupported: Performance counter data is not available

      CentOS 7 with MariaDB and Zabbix 2.4.7

      After discovering all virtual guests on a Vmware vCenter server, I receive messages in the zabbix server log stating all discovered items of the virtual guests are became not supported because "Performance counter data is not available".

      The result is that no data for the virtual machines is being logged so I am not able to monitor our virtual environment.

      I am probably doing something wrong, but I am new to Zabbix monitoring, so any help would be very appreciated.
