chmod can reset ownership in some cases, thus the ordering of chown & chmod commands in the manual in https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.0/manual/config/items/itemtypes/simple_checks#icmp_pings should be reversed. as the change is simple, probably worth doing in all versions even down to 1.8.
