We upgraded from 1.8 to 2.4.7

We have hosts with items with keys:

net.if.in

But we would like to get running low level discovery (lld) rules .

The problem is that we have not way to change that kind of items from manual to lld.

How can I retain history from a item which is configured manually , and make it to be as it was discovered by lld ?

I was thinking using the API, but I cannot see any way to do, without lost data
