new values per second (nvps) calculation is mentioned in 2 places in the manual :

• https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.0/manual/web_interface/frontend_sections/reports/status_of_zabbix (the expected nvps)
• https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.0/manual/config/items/itemtypes/internal (the actual nvps processed)

they both are very terse, and there's a whole bunch of information that can be scraped from various issues and threads, but it would be nice to have it properly documented. a new things to consider for documenting :

• how are logfiles handled ?
• how are trapper items handled ?
• how is nodata maintenance handled ?
• how are flexible intervals & item scheduling handled ?
• ...anything else ?
