1. Create a template;
2. add a discovery rule;
3. add an item prototype;
4. add a graph prototype;
5. create a templated screen;
6. go to screen contructor;
7. choose a graph prototype;
8. update.
   Notice the name of the graph and item it contains is now simplified without the template name.
9. choose a simple graph prototype and select an item prototype;
10. update.
    Notice how graph title shows the name of the template but item does not.

The template name is already shown in the navigation. Thus in graph name it's considered useless.
