Currently if a vmware host is monitored through a vCenter, a host item is created with the vcenter ip as agent interface.

This is troublesome in some ways:

• there is no way to implement a icmp ping on the discovered host as such.
• also there are some states in vmware sdk which would be better fetch directly on host itself: like connection state or host health.
