Hello,
I'm unable to start Zabbix Agent through a chef recipe on Amazon Linux but I'm able to start Zabbix Agent by logging in to the Amazon Linux Instance and using the command "zabbix_agentd".
The log file has :-

agent #1 started [collector]
agent #2 started listener #1
agent #3 started listener #2
agent #4 started listener #3
