Java checks fail on IPv6

    • Type: Incident report
    • Resolution: Won't fix
    • Priority: Critical
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: 3.2.4
    • Component/s: Java gateway (J)
    • Environment:
Zabbix 3.2.4 server running on Centos7, dual stack. Servers monitored are three machines on IPv6 only, running Apache Cassandra.

JMX agent added on cassandra hosts. Agent replies, I can monitor IPv6 traffic between Zabbix server and agent, but Zabbix tells me

java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: 127.0.1.1; nested exception is:
      java.net.ConnectException: Oppkobling nektes (Connection refused)

After inspecting the traffic between the two (on port 9010, JMX), it seems IPv4 addresses are exchanged in the application level traffic and the IPv6 only hosts report theirs as 127.0.1.1. What the IPv4 addresses are doing there, I can't say, but something is buried in this code, somewhere…
