If i create an host via prototype and i also use the group prototype input.
It will create the host and create the group and add the host to the group.
If the group already exist, i can select it from the other input box.

Trying to automate everything, the group the server will be added to, is detected via the discovery.
However, this will work only for the first host in that group.
The discovery will fail for the next hosts as the group already exists and can t be created.

Maybe the group prototype input was meant only to create the group, but the group input (not the group prototype input), can not accept a group prototype input.
