api examples still set "extend" even though this was made default some time ago - that's redundant and clutters the documentation (for example, https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.4/manual/api/reference/host/get )

as there does not seem to be any traction to revert this change, it is suggested to remove "extend" from all examples for all affected versions
