After upgrade to v.3.4.8, continuing in v.3.4.9, I believe the ZBX has somehow stopped working reading the LOG file using "Zabbix agent (Active)".

A very basic item example:

• Type: Zabbix agent (Active)
• Key: log[/var/log/httpd/access_log]
• Type: Log

It worked prior to v.3.4.8.

Now, neither the old ITEMs, nor the newly created ones work.

Multiple ZBX server enviroments (old ones started on 3.2, even fresh ones installed already as 3.4) are affected.

env:

• CentOS 7.4 updated regularly (not yet 7.5 upgraded)
• SELinux = DISABLED
• Permissions to file are fine, have even tested "chmod a+rwx access_log" and full Zabbix account ownership change over the file, but no change.
• zabbix_server.log with default debug level says nothing.
• ITEMs status is fine, no "unknown".
• Latest data "Show details" doesn't show any failure at all.
• The example's "/var/log/httpd/access_log" is being updated regularly, of course.
