    • Environment:
      ZABBIX 1.8, PHP 5.1, MySQL 5.x

We upgraded our ZABBIX reference environment from 1.6.6 to 1.8 today. Since the upgrade, the web frontend requires far more memory than before. This could be due to UTF8 conversion of the database (more RAM required for storing the database values), but I'm unsure.

We had to set memory_limit to 128MB (which is quiet high) to make the frontend work.

Maybe this should be pointed out in the upgrade guide
