Hello,
in https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.4/manual/installation/requirements in "Examples of hardware configuration" you have some examples, but they are very very vague, because you can have 10000 hosts with only 10 items with a 10minutes intervall and you can also have 10 hosts with 1000items and a 10seconds poll intervall.
It would be much better if you use nvps instead of hosts, or you said you can Monitor X hosts with the standard linux/windows templates. This is much more accurete and you can much better evalute it.
