Hi

I was keen to use this new feature in 4.x https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBXNEXT-2365 but it doesn't seem to work, or at least work as i expected. 

The documentation for 4.x now says:

Auto-registration is rerun:

if host metadata information changes  

Perfect.. i thought i could update the contents of my zabbix_agentd.conf HostMetadata and magic would happen without a restart. But it seems that nothing happens.

If i restart the zabbix_agentd service after making the change then it seems to do something but i'm not sure if this is associated with the above new feature or just a coincidence.

As the documentation is not very explicit, can someone confirm that only after a restart of the agent will changes made to HostMetadata actually trigger the servers AutoRegistation process if its contents were changed ?

Maybe the documentation can be updated to demystify this ?
