Currently zabbix provides the template "Template Module Generic SNMPv2". One of the items behind it is "Device uptime" which points to oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 .

This in fact gives the uptime since the last time the network was restarted, but in reality this means the last time the snmpd daemon was restarted.

Of course this is useless and much misleading as the title of the item says "Device uptime".
My proposal is to change this to: 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1.0 (which is HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemUptime, see http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/mibs/host.html, which reports the server uptime), and of course this item and the corresponding trigger should thus be moved to the template "Template Module HOST-RESOURCES-MIB SNMPv2"
