If a problem is acknowledged, it cannot be unacknowledged without doing it manually in the database. With acknowledges being global, this is a problem in larger environments. The quick fix is to allow for unacking issues. The longer and more complex fix would be to do this and also allow for user-specific acks since again, in larger environments, one issue may be irrelevant for one admin but more important for another.
