      Hi All,

      I am having issues with the ITEM.LASTVALUE* feature not being consistent.

      I am using this feature within the high error rate trigger on the network interfaces discovery rule for SNMP.

      The example is that the error counter on a network interface on a firewall increases within 1 interval cycle of 60 seconds. 100+ packets of errors is shown. Zabbix captures this and based around my $IF_ERRORS_WARN macro of 25, the trigger is actioned.

      I have the trigger headers configured as such. (See screenshot for actual trigger data)

      Name: Interface {#IFNAME}({#IFALIAS}): High error rate of {ITEM.LASTVALUE1}

      Operational Data: errors in: {ITEM.LASTVALUE1}, errors out: {ITEM.LASTVALUE2}.

      The discrepancy is as follows.

      • Firstly, after the trigger is fired and a problem appears, id expect the ITEM.LASTVALUE1 to show a figure, however, it shows as 0. (See screenshot)
      • Secondly, the ITEM_LASTVALUE* specified in the Name and Operational Data don't appear to be the same value. For example, ITEM_LASTVALUE1 in the Name field shows a figure, yet the operational data field of ITEM_LASTVALUE1 doesn't (See screenshot).

      In regards to my first question, if i am averaging over 5 minutes the errors on a network interface and it was only on the first poll (1 min cycle) that the errors were present, is the ITEM.LASTVALUE1 variable the last poll value which in my case was 0 or should it be the actual average value that caused the trigger to alert?

      Thanks
