Compression was added to agent2 in the same way as to proxies - agent2 is always sending compressed data. However zabbix_get is built with compression support only when -enable-agent and (-enable-proxy or --enable-server) configure options are used. So as the result in some installations it would work, in others not.

As server/proxy and zabbix_get passive requests have the same format, the only thing we could do is to disable compression for passive requests.
