Problem:

3 identically configured user/media/action, one works as expected while for two others the action is never invoked in Reports -> Action Log

Environment setup:

1. Usergroup "Notification users":

• Permissions: All hostgroups -> Read; No Frontend

2. Users (all 3 are members of group "Notification users" to inherit perms)

• NetOps Slack
• NetOps TXT
• NetOps Email

3. Media:

• Notify Slack : official media type "Slack" via Slack BOT
• Notify Email : media type -> email
• Notify TXT : media type -> script (sends SMS via connected Android phone)
• All 3 media types have same "Message Template" enabled:
  • Problem
  • Problem recovery
  • Problem update
• All 3 media test successfully from UI
• Each Media type linked to respectful User from point 2; slightly different severity configured where email and slack are the most verbose while TXT only sent for High/Disaster events

4. Actions:

• Notify by Email
• Notify by Slack
• Notify by TXT
• All 3 actions have same config:
  • No conditions
  • Default operation step duration: 5m 
  • Operations: Step 1-0 -> Send notification to respectful User/Media
  • Problem recovery: Send notification to respectful User/Media

Issue:

ONLY Slack notifications work as expected, while neither Email nor TXT actions seems to never invoke.
