1. Create at least 2 host groups having a hierarchy, like so:
Host group 1 -> "A"
Host group 2 -> "A/B"
2. In child host group "A/B", create a template or host.
3. Navigate to some sub-section like items, for example.
4. Press "Select" button for "Templates" (or "Hosts") multiselect.
5. In generic popup "Host group" multiselect press "Select".
6. Observe there are both host groups "A" and "A/B".
7. Select parent host group "A".

Result: the popup list reloads and shows the correct object, but the host group name "A" is not visible in "Host group" multiselect.

Expected: the chosen parent group "A" should be visible in "Host group" multiselect.
