API call template.delete - clear option not described

      In the Zabbix frontend, one can "Delete" or "Delete and clear".
      But for the API the documentation doesn't mention this:
      https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/5.0/manual/api/reference/template/delete

      It is not clear what is the default action here (delete or delete and clear) and how the other option can be done in API.
