The frontend section "Problems" doesn't show historical events if the respective item or trigger is disabled. From my point of view they should be listed regardless of the item/trigger being enabled or disabled.

If there are reasons for listing only events where the respective item and trigger is enabled, you could add a corresponding filter option which is not active by default.
