system.cpu.num don't update data with set interval

      linux virtual machines with zabbix agent

      I have attached a template to my linux machines (ubuntu and centos) with the item system.cpu.num but the item doesn't update with the interval that I set (1 hour). It only update daily or with an interval that I cannot control.
