Greetings.

Using the official template listed as integrations:

https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/vmware

By default following macros are preconfigured in the template:

{$VMWARE.USERNAME}

{$VMWARE.PASSWORD}

{$VMWARE.URL}

I'm apliying the following templates to Vcenter 6.7 U3:

Template VM VMware macros

Template VM VMware

Template VM VMware Hypervisor

All works as expected, the only thing is not working is :

Template VM VMware Hypervisor: Datastore discovery key: vmware.hv.datastore.discovery[\{$VMWARE.URL},\{HOST.HOST}]

Error received:
Unknown hypervisor uuid.
 
I already tried to configure the following macros:
 
{$VMWARE.UUID}
{$VMWARE.HV.UUID}
{$UUID}
 
Also placing the hostname my UUID of vcenter.
 
I was inspecting the template:
https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/repos/zabbix/browse/templates/app/vmware/template_app_vmware.xml?at=refs%2Fheads%2Frelease%2F5.0
 
But seems nothing of thi macros are being used.
