When linking templates to hosts it is possible to make host level changes to some parameters on entities coming from templates. For example - update interval.
While this approach works, I was not able to find anywhere in the documentation, that updating the item from template level will reset those changes.
Same can be true if template is updated by importing it and other scenarios.
There are several places in the documentation where a warning about this could be added:
7.7.2 under section "Linking a template":

When entities (items, triggers, graphs etc.) are added from the template:

previously existing identical entities on the host are updated as entities of the template (NEW: and any existing host-level customizations to the entity are lost)

7.2.1 under the Note: that begins with

When editing an existing template level item on a host level, a number of fields are read-only.
      ...
NEW: If you make host-level changes to a template item, such changes will be lost should the template be upgraded.

      7.3.1 somewhere near

In addition the Inherited and trigger tags option allows...

      18.2.4.3.2 and 18.2.4.3.3

      Possibly more.
