zabbix 4.4 server on debian 10, trying to create an item from opnsense api. I know the 4.4 version is in EOL, I just hope in 6.0 it will be fixed, is planned the upgrade as soon as it will be stable.
I need this to monitor opnsense using its API.
OPNsense api is secured behind HTTP basic authentication, unfortunatly username and password are generated and is very long (81 char each).
Steps to reproduce:
- create a new item in any host of your preference
- item type: http agent
- HTTP autentication: Basic
- write an username of 81 character
- write a password of 81 character
Result:
the username and password will be truncated at 64 character, off course the item will be "unsupported" because the web-server return a 401 error (auth failure).
Expected:
item to be populated with the json from opnsense.
Here an example of key/secret (username/password) generated:
key=tZM/naWXCOZ/EBdEwK5zhPH2qBIGR3xu4PT+DlFJep/vFI2E6JQ1yHCkgoRLT2Z93noQPUZj8/ZYT2v+
secret=RkkV53KkiBX7IQfe3ypkQluvs6k7Z2pfxbbWRad+Buf5C9DlczP6QnqljhQHRo8U4UAarpoKhW0Eyv4k
Is my first bugreport, if something is wrong please be kind.
