    • Type: Problem report
    • Resolution: Unresolved
    • Priority: Major
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: 6.0.12, 6.2.6, 6.4.0beta5
    • Component/s: Server (S)
    • None
    • Environment:
      Debian Linux 11

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Create a new discovery rule:
        1. Name: Testrule
        2. IP range: 192.168.7.66 (something that won't respond, that doesn't matter)
        3. Checks: Add, SNMPv3 agent, SNMP OID = 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5, Add
        4. Device uniqueness criteria: select SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5"
        5. Host name: select SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5"
        6. Visible name: select SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5"
        7. Add
      2. Open rule Testrule again, see that the settings are still fine
      3. Click Edit on the Checks rule (SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5")
      4. Set Security name to Test, click Update
      5. Update
      6. Open rule Testrule again

      Result:

      • Host name is now set to "DNS name"
      • Visible name is now set to "Host name"

      Expected:

      • Host name is still set to SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5"
      • Visible name is still set to SNMPv3 agent "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5"
