The problem mentioned in the summary was confirmed on 7.0.0alpha8.

However, there was no such problem on Zabbix 6.0.24 or on Zabbix 6.4.9.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Zabbix 7.0.0alpha8
2. Edit zabbix_server.conf to start VMware collectors (e.g. StartVMwareCollectors=5)
3. Add an ESXi discovery host in (e.g. host group Virtual Machines linked to template VMware)
4. Wait for VM hosts to be discovered

Result:
ESXi hypervisor is discovered but not the guest VMs in the hypervisor
Expected:
Guest VMs are also discovered together with the hypervisor.
