BACKGROUND

A user had left an improvements report on 4 Zabbix agent 2 (UNIX) > ‘Include’:

You may include individual files or all files in a directory in the configuration file. During the installation Zabbix will create the include directory in /usr/local/etc, unless modified during the compile time.

User comment: Please provide file locations like these on the Windows platform as well, to make it complete.

ISSUE

The pages for agent and agent 2 configuration on Windows provide an example implying the location of the configuration file, but don’t address the fact that there are two possible location scenarios depending on how the user installed Zabbix agent.

This might be obvious for some users, but, based on user reports, not for all. Since information on Zabbix agent within Windows is a bit scattered at the moment, it’s worth it to add a clarification.
