Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a text file with multiline
2. Get the content of the file in a item with type of information = text
3. Display this item with the Item history widget

Result:

Hard returns are gone (see screenshots)

Expected:

Text displayed with hard returns 

Extra infos:

The item has hard returns when displayed in latest data (see screenshot).

When right clic + inspect on the widget to see the source, the text has hard returns too.

This was reproduced on 2 installations, Debian 12 and LXC container both installed from official packages.
