application expansion in latest data does not work properly

      Steps to reproduce:

      (1) Open "Latest data". All the applications are closed. See latest-data-1.png.
      (2) Click "+" to the left of "Description". All applications open. See latest-data-2.png.
      (3) Click "-" to close one of the applications. Everything returns to latest-data-1.png.
      (4) Click "+" to open one of the applications. Nothing happens. Picture latest-data-1.png remains.
