I just upgraded from 6.0 to 7.0. When looking at the utilization values of the Zabbix processes I noticed that Zabbix Proxy apparently isn't used. Even though there are >10k SNMP items the ulilization value is almost always at 0% (max. 0.3%).

By increasing the process' log level to the maximum there are no messages indicating that some SNMP data was polled. Checking the process activities using strace also confirmed this.
Increasing the log level of the generic poller process showed that it does all the SNMP stuff.

So the handling of SNMP checks by the new SNMP poller procees doesn't work. Please investigate and fix.
