Hello,
I am encountering a permissions-related issue on my Zabbix server, and I need some assistance.
Problem Description:
- I have a group of users in Zabbix assigned to a user group with proper read/write access to all hosts.
- A Super Admin user can see all hosts and their data, but certain users in the same user group, even with Admin privileges, cannot see some hosts in the Monitoring → Hosts section.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Verified that the user group has read/write permissions on the host groups containing the missing hosts.
- Checked that the items for the hosts are active and properly configured.
- Confirmed that the same issue occurs for users with different browsers and cleared cache.
- Examined database integrity and ensured all hosts and items are properly linked.
- Tested creating a new user and assigning them to the same group—same issue persists.
Observations:
- This issue does not seem to occur for all hosts but is limited to certain ones.
- The problem persists even for Admin users with seemingly correct permissions.
- The issue may relate to the database or an internal configuration affecting item visibility.
Questions:
- Could this issue be related to database inconsistencies or corrupted permissions?
- Are there any known bugs or fixes in recent versions of Zabbix that address similar issues?
- How can I debug the visibility of hosts and items in the database or frontend?
Let me know if further details or logs are needed. Thank you for your help!
