Environment:Windows Server 2019 Standard Build 17763.8511
Steps to reproduce:
- Install Zabbix Agent 7.0.23 using MSI from zabbix.com
- Wait
- Get high memory usage by Agent2 after some time
Expected:
No memory leak.
After startup, after a random amount of time (we were unable to identify a pattern), the agent begins to leak memory.
In some cases, this is accompanied by broken PerfMon metrics; in others, everything is normal.
Also, it seemed that the leak starts if the server on which the agent is installed has been offline for some time (due to VPN or internet issues at a remote office).
Attached is a log from the server where the problem occurred (there is a problem with PerfMon).
I’ve been seeing this issue since version 7.0.12. I’ve installed newer versions that were supposed to fix the memory leak, but unfortunately, that didn’t help.
This is very similar to the issue described in ZBX-26726, but the update didn’t help me.
I have a fairly large number of servers in my environment (physical, virtual, with different configurations, about 50 of them), and all of them are affected by the issue.
