Affects Version/s: 7.0.28
-
Component/s: Proxy (P)

None
-
Environment:Debian 12, vmware, 8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, vSphere 7.0.3.01900
Steps to reproduce:
- Add vSphere via Zabbix Template 'VMware' (out-of-box from Zabbix)
- Configure the needed Macros, {$VMWARE.URL}, {$VMWARE.USERNAME}, {$VMWARE.PASSWORD}
- Select Monitored by Proxy
Result:
Every few minutes, the Zabbix proxy service crashes with the message “Got signal [signal:11(SIGSEGV),reason:1,refaddr:0x60]. Crashing ...” from the vmware collector.
See log file zabbix_proxy.log.gz
Expected:
No crash at all.
What have I tried:
Increase vmwarefrequency to 120, vmwareperffrequency to 60 and startvmwarecollectors from 5 to 10.
Additional Information:
The zabbix proxy 'monproxy1-1.infra.sgg1.ch.abainfra.net' monitors 3 vSpheres. The second proxy 'monproxy1-1.infra.gtg1.ch.abainfra.net' only one. The problem shows only on 'monproxy1-1.infra.sgg1.ch.abainfra.net'. Configuration are the same, I deploy it via Puppet.
