    • Priority: Trivial
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: 8.0.0rc3
    • Component/s: Installation (I)
    • None
    • Environment:
Ubuntu Server 26.04, official Zabbix packages (.deb), ClickHouse 26.10.3.7, PHP 8.5, Zabbix proxy with StartAPMCollector=1

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Install Zabbix 8.0.0rc3 from official packages on Ubuntu 26.04
         (server, proxy, frontend, zabbix-sql-scripts).
      2. Set up ClickHouse and create the history schema with
         /usr/share/zabbix/sql-scripts/clickhouse/history_all.sh.
      3. Configure TelemetryProvider=clickhouse on the proxy, set StartAPMCollector=1,
         and configure $TELEMETRY_PROVIDERS in zabbix.conf.php.
      4. Open APM -> Traces in the frontend.

      Result:
The frontend shows "Database error occurred."
      ClickHouse system.query_log shows:
        Code: 60. DB::Exception: Unknown table expression identifier 'otel_traces'. (UNKNOWN_TABLE)

      Cause:
The package contains only history scripts in /usr/share/zabbix/sql-scripts/clickhouse/:
        clickhouse.sh, history_all.sh, history_*_schema.sh
The following scripts exist in the source tree (database/clickhouse/, tag 8.0.0rc3)
but are not shipped in the package:
        otel_all.sh
        otel_traces_schema.sh
        otel_logs_schema.sh
        otel_metrics_schema.sh
The packaged clickhouse.sh already refers to otel_all.sh
("otel_all.sh relies on this exit code..."), which confirms that the scripts
      are expected to be present.

      Workaround:
Download the four scripts from the 8.0.0rc3 tag into the same directory and run:
        ./otel_all.sh -s http://localhost:8123 -d zabbix -u <user> -p <password>
After that, the APM sections (Traces/Metrics/Logs) work as expected.

      Expected:
zabbix-sql-scripts includes the otel_*.sh scripts, and the documentation
(ClickHouse setup page) describes how to create the APM/OpenTelemetry schema.
