For such simple checks like "smtp,<port>", "ftp,<port>", "http,<port>", "pop,<port>", "nntp,<port>", "imap,<port>" and "tcp,<port>" timeout is hardcoded and equal to 3 sec, but for other simple checks timeout value is taken from the "Timeout" parameter in the zabbix_server.conf file.
