Did the output of

change with 1.8.5?
I use it to output the last value of a Character item.
It use to print fine with 1.8.2 but not we get output more like this:

 19 : maill ...

(use to look like "Reporting 19 : maillog_reader_deferred : Last occurance: May 17 22:28:20 media7 sendmail etc.")

How do I get it to output the whole string and spaces instead of " "?
