I have never seen the like. I'd been running 1.8.5 since April with zero downtime. I opted to increase trend cache mem in the zabbix_server.conf from 4M to 8M the other day as the number of items we're monitoring had slowly been shrinking the available free trend cache. I think this was coincidental, however.
Clearly, with 6G of RAM and 8G of swap, a 17G memory request will be denied. I've never seen anything even remotely close to that, though. What do you suppose it was?
