Failed login attempts are not actually logged

      Debian-based distro, PostgreSQL 8.4, Apache 2.2.9, PHP 5.2.10, Firefox 3.0.19.

      I have tried to login with incorrect password several times. My account was blocked for 30 seconds. After the correct login Zabbix displayed a message about 6 failed login attempts. However there are no records concerning failed login attempts in the audit log.
