Impact: active checks don't work in zabbix 2.0.1

I have zabbix_server 2.0.1 and zabbix_agentd 2.0.1 both compiled under Centos (2.6.18-308.8.2.el5).
I've configured a couple of active checks. I can see that configuration is right, because communication is successful according to the logs. However zabbix server returns empty data for the active checks (and those are configured). I believe this is because wrong hostid is passed to "key_ from items" query. More details in attached doc
