Inspired by ZBX-5338 i compared the ddl of a newly created zabbix database (file zabbix-1.8.14/create/schema/mysql.sql) with my current database.

I dumped the structure of the databases by executing "mysqldump --skip-comments --no-data database > dump-database.sql".
Compared to the fix in ZBX-5338 i discovered some additional differences - see attached files ("vim -d ddl-zabbix-1.8.11.sql ddl-zabbix-1.8.14.sql")
(we started our installation with 1.8.4).

The file "ddl-zabbix-1.8.11" represents the state after upgrading to 1.8.14 on our old installation - the file "ddl-zabbix-1.8.14.sql"
represents the state after executing "zabbix-1.8.14/create/schema/mysql.sql".

I strongly recommend to add a verification to the release process which compares the structure of previous to the recent releases.
(dumping the ddl should be available on all database systems)
