      Ubuntu 12.04
      Latest Zabbix (2.1.8)

Implemented Zabbix checks for my vSphere Hypervisors to try and test the new functionality and after figuring out a few login issues (Username == "COMPANY\user" for LDAP authenticated vSphere instances) and saw that all the items failed to start collecting data. I looked in the logs and found the following:

20465:20131023:164936.219 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.cpu.usage[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported
20464:20131023:164946.323 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.memory.size.ballooned[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported
20464:20131023:164946.323 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.memory.used[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported
20466:20131023:164951.361 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.network.in[{$URL},{HOST.HOST},bps]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported
20466:20131023:164951.361 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.network.out[{$URL},{HOST.HOST},bps]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported
20466:20131023:164951.362 item [esx1.company.local:vmware.hv.status[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported

It doesn't appear to be a vSphere login related issue, as those were completely different error messages. My vSphere server is 5.1.0 and the specific Hypervisor I'm monitoring is running ESXi 5.1.0.
