We have many trigger that checks about event viewer events. When error is found in event viewer a mail is sent with content of error. Message is:

Trigger name:

{TRIGGER.NAME}

Trigger status:

{TRIGGER.STATUS}

Trigger severity:

{TRIGGER.SEVERITY}

Check:

{ITEM.NAME1}

Type:

{ITEM.KEY1}

Value:

{ITEM.VALUE1}

contains all the event viewer message that is bigger then 2000 chars ... This generate an oracle error in zabbix server log complaining about the length of MESSAGE field in the ALERTS table because field is only 2000 CHAR ... we can enlarge field up to 4000 CHAR but this is not enough. ALERTS table must manage also log ITEM!!
