My company is planning to use a new monitoring and capacity planning tool. Among other products we are seriously looking at Zabbix. I've done 2 fresh installs of the zabbix server, frontend, and mysql server on each of the 2 virtual server instances. Made sure all processes are up and running. The virtual server instances are AWS and have setup the proper inbound/outbound rules. I have clear access to port 80 from my PC to these virtual servers. However, in both cases when I put http:/mynewinstance/zabbix I get "Operation timed out". I've tried turning up apache/httpd verbosity to see if any messages in the httpd logs (access,error) indicate an issue but see nothing.

At this point we can't even evaluate Zabbix product. We are happy to sign up for support after we evaluate the product but until we can see front-end we can't begin to evaluate. Can you please help me?
