      testcase :
      have item with key a[{$A}]
      create aggregate item with key grpavg[agg,"a[{$A}]",last,0]

      this fails with :

      No items for key "a[asdf]" in group(s) "agg".

      (or "UNKNOWN" if macro is not defined on that host)
