This is just a visual flaw and I know about the technical similarity of Hosts and Templates.
However, since Zabbix frontend makes a logical differentiation between them, this should probably be fixed to avoid confusion.

Instead of selecting the proper sub-menu entry on every Host/Template change, e.g. via combo-boxes, I could think of not selecting either sub-menu entry as well.
