MySQL server stalls whenever disabled items in zabbix are re-enable after relatively short periods of time. In MySQL there are numerous queries where zabbix is trying to "creating sort index"es that cause the queues to back up SEVERELY across the board. We need a workaround for this that doesn't involves monitoring the queues every time this happens.

I see jira tickets assigned to this that appear to be related (ZBX-8465 and ZBX-8042) with absolutely no workarounds listed.
